“Not all of us can do great things, but we can do small things with great love.”
~Mother Teresa
After a tough and tender 6 year journey with ALS (i.e. Lou Gehrig's disease), my dear dad Ken passed away from the terrible life-taking disease. It's the type of thing you hear about in the news, but always assume (and pray...) it will never happen to you. And, it's the type of thing that changes you forever.
I hold this benefit annually near Valentine's Day (my dad's birthday!)...not only honor Dad's memory by raising money for the ALS Association, but also to celebrate the LOVE we experienced from so many people amid our journey with ALS. And to remind each of us what a deep, lasting impact our acts of kindness and generosity can have.
100% of proceeds of this event go towards supporting the local ALS Association - the frontline, feet on the street angels who helped us weather the storm, and continue to do so for so many other families who are struggling valiantly and courageously with this neuro-degenetaive disease which turns lives upside down yet still has no cure.
Thank you in advance - your support and generosity WILL make a meaningful difference to a family like mine.
With gratitude & love,
~Jen
